SPICE GIRLS
Dec. 8th, 2007 01:56 pmNo lengthy review here, other than to say it was like being endlessly pummeled with dozens of the glitteriest, goopiest, sweetest cupcakes ever. Ridiculously entertaining and silly and awesome.
Can a group that's only been around ten years actually have a real comeback (no less a "greatest hits" collection after only three albums)? Judging by the teen-and-twentysomething audience of girls going completely ape-shit, then yes. This was obviously the music of their childhood, and they were screamingly glad to have the Girls back.
It was an infectious and indelible pop-culture moment.
