John is a BBC radio announcer who does a late-night show, and he and his partner David have been known to drop by our house during their frequent trips to California. During their visit earlier this month, John suggested that I be a regular guest on his show, as his "man on the street" in the entertainment capital of the world.

So, every Wednesday morning, he'll be calling me for a few minutes of chat, to pre-record for that night's show. It's mostly idle prattle, the somewhat ridiculous conceit being that since I live in LA, he thinks I'll know what's the hottest new thing or coolest new place. Yeah, right.

Through the magic of the intarwebs, you can listen to John's show on the BBC iPlayer, at BBC Lancashire or Manchester. His show runs in the evenings in the UK, and he tells me that my segment will be on about half-past three, Pacific Standard Time, every Wednesday.
