Feb. 9th, 2006 11:43 pmThe show was a big, loud, silly love letter to rock in the 1980s. A guilty-pleasure of ridiculously entertaining proportions. It was just campy enough to be funny, but never so much that it becomes pure parody. Great performances all around, especially from the adorable Kyle Gass and the hilarious Chris Hardwick.
We unashamedly rocked out (they even handed out lighters). As my pal
bobaloo put so succinctly, "any musical that uses 'The Final Countdown' by Europe and has rollerskating dudes who throw glitter, sets my nipples on fire."
