CRACKBERRY
Sep. 8th, 2005 05:05 pmSo, the inevitable has happened. I've been assigned a BlackBerry at work.
The gadget geek in me is thrilled (it's the sexy 7100g, for like-minded nerds)-- but the part of me that doesn't want to be available via email EVERY WAKING MOMENT isn't so keen on it.
I'll be carrying it as my main mobile phone for work -- but since
fidgetcub and I share a single pool of minutes with our two mobile phones, I'm not going to be cancelling my existing mobile number anytime soon. I'll simply be forwarding my old mobile number to the new BlackBerry most of the time.
However, text messaging doesn't forward, only voice calls. So, you can call the old number and be pretty sure of reaching me, but use the new one for text messaging. Make sense?
Feel free to add this new (Charlotte-based) mobile number to your address books as my main work number (and SMS number): (704) 340-8855
