DC & VA TRIP

I'm taking some time off next week for some vacation -- alas, Jason fidgetcub won't be coming, as he's saving up his precious few days off for a trip we'll both be taking to Canada later this Summer.

I've been invited by some of my family (Dad's side on the East Coast) to join them for a few days at their place on VA Beach next week, so I decided to rent a car and make a week of it.

I'm flying in this Friday to Richmond and then driving up to DC for the weekend (and lo and behold, it's smack dab in the middle of Capital Pride -- completely unintentional as far as my plans, which were dictated by my family trip. But, it's a nice perk).

My plans are fairly fluid -- other than staying with the raybearlys and most likely some boozy dancing with maverick1303, I have no real agenda. Probably some museums over the weekend, and maybe a drive down to Busch Gardens Williamsburg on Monday or Tuesday (if anyone wants to play hooky and come along, let me know).

I will be meeting up with family in VA Beach in the afternoon or evening on Tuesday 6/15, spending the week there until heading back into Richmond on Sunday 6/20 (with a stop for dinner with carytown in there somewhere, too).
