Since that OK GO video is sweeping teh internets (rightfully so, because it's awesome), I thought I'd post its spiritual godfather in the interest of public service. :)

Released in 1987 and still playing in gallery installations today, THE WAY THINGS GO records the self-destructing performance of Swiss artists Peter Fischli and David Weiss' most ambitious construction: 100 feet of physical interactions, chemical reactions, and precisely crafted chaos worthy of Rube Goldberg, without narration or interviews.

This clip is only three minutes long -- but the original piece is a whopping 30 MINUTES of footage, available on DVD (yes, there are some cinematic "cuts" in the film -- but only to speed up chemical processes and angle changes that would have made the film too long). It's also what inspired the Honda "Cog" campaign in 2003 (and the subsequent copyright dispute against Honda from Fischli & Weiss).
