Okay, we've all seen previous internet galleries of terrible food photographed from 1950s cookbooks. Here's a new one that continues the tradition into the "me decade", with a curious (and often repulsive) collection of 1970s recipes from Weight Watchers.

Be sure to read the intro, and then click through all of them and read the snarky commentary, which often had me in tears from laughing.

According to the author, "They appear to be from a much kookier era of Weight Watchers. There's a certain serve-it-at-your-next-key-party freakiness to a lot of these dishes."

(thanks to [livejournal.com profile] colicub for sending this!)
