Think you're mad about Prop 8? Read this guy's story.

"EVERYTHING IS BETTER WHEN YOU HEAR THAT SHOUT"

We all have those moments when a song hits us square in the face, and somehow "fits" your life right there in that very moment.

It's rare when it happens, and even rarer when it happens twice from the same band. The first time I ever heard Somwhere Only We Know by Keane, it welled up a surge of emotions at just the right time, with just the right soaring, swooning sentiment, that to this day, I still almost burst into tears every time I hear it. Their latest album doesn't disappoint, and the title track hit me like a ton of bricks on the drive home tonight.

"This life is lived in perfect symmetry
What I do, that will be done to me
As the needle slips into the runout groove
Love, maybe you feel it too."

It's right where my heart and head are at right now, with nearly everything in life -- love, politics, work -- and as I sang along at the top of my lungs, all was well in the world. Enjoy.
