GO, SPEED!

I really think SPEED RACER got the short end of the stick.It's regarded as a pretty colossal flop -- but I had a blast seeing it in the theaters. It was big and colorful and crazy and exactly what I wanted, a hyper kaleidoscope of complete visual-effects insanity with some mind-bending narrative ideas. Not perfect, mind you -- but it's a typically dizzying and grand Wachowski experiment. It's no MATRIX, but it's light-years more entertaining than the awful RELOADED or REVOLUTIONS.
I'm watching it now again in 60" 1080p Blu-Ray, and it's making my rods and cones vibrate with glee.
