I haven't seen Sunday morning this early in forever.
It seems that I spoke a bit too soon on Friday about that flu I though I was mostly over. I felt tired on Friday night around 9pm so I went to bed... and pretty much didn't wake up until now. I slept all the way through Saturday. I woke up a few times to nibble and drug myself, and once to drag myself to the couch, but even there I ended up sleeping. Jason told me that Sean and Matty even came over for dinner, but I was fast asleep in the bedroom and didn't even hear them. It was that kind of dead-tired-completely-out sleep -- not just sick-in-bed-dozing, but out-for-the-count, for over 24 hours. I think it was my body telling me "stop" after returning to work for one day on Friday.
Not surprisingly, I'm feeling MUCH better, not a trace of aching anywhere, no fever, no cough or sore throat. And also not surprisingly, I'm fucking bright-eyed-and-bushy-tailed today. Holy crap, so this is what awake feels like.
