BLAH

I ended up leaving work about two o'clock on Tuesday, shivering and coughing the entire drive home, with a quick stop at CVS to stock up on NyQuil and Gatorade. I didn't have a thermometer to check for sure, but my temperature seemed high to the touch.

I'm assuming that I caught something on the plane home. Better that than during the trip, I suppose.

I fell asleep around three in the afternoon, slept through TV night and dinner, woke up a few times in the night to re-dose myself with NyQuil, and finally got up this morning around 10am. I'm feeling a bit less miserable, but still coughing and headache-y. Currently catching up on work emails from my vacation week, and basking in the Discovery Channel.

*hack, wheeze*

A few weeks back, I told you about a new book written by my cousin.

I finished reading it during my vacation, and HIGHLY recommend it, especially if you were born between 1965-1982 and are growing increasingly frustrated by tired boomer-generation flag-waving (and the increasing volume of millenial-gen OMG static). It's a sharp, biting, and entertaining read, and a true 13-gen manifesto, insomuch as Xers generally hate manifestos.

Check out Jeff's article at largeheartedboy.com, where he creates a music playlist that to go along with his newly-published book.

A few more tidbits about "X Saves the World" -- here's a YouTube interview with its author:

Also, check out this SF Gate/AP review or this interview with the Santa Barbara Independent (where he used to write).
