MEETINGS

Jason's mum went home yesterday and it's been a great visit. We need to bring her out here more often.

I've been taking some meetings this week for possible work -- nothing long-term yet, just a few small consulting gigs. Most of them will probably turn into long-term projects if I want them, though. Nothing I can really talk about, unfortunately, as they're all confidential and still in development.

Suffice it to say, I have a bunch of really good choices. A ton of friends and designers I really admire are working on some really fun stuff, and all of them want me to come work for them. That's the hard part -- there's at least three projects, all with people I enjoy working with, so if I take one of them I'll have to say "no" to the other two.

But not for awhile yet. At least through the end of November, I'm going to remain gainfully unemployed, save for a few brainstorming meetings and writing gigs. I'm also heading to IAAPA Expo next week in Orlando, which should be fun.

Speaking of events, I've added Upcoming to my list of online-networking doo-dads. It's a kinda neat way to keep track of events you're going to, find out events your friends are going to, and find new ones based on your personal or professional interests.
