OTTERS *LOVE* PINKBERRY

Dear Pinkberry,

Hi, I'm a huge fan.

Pinkberry makes me smile. So does your cool theme song. Last week, I saw a video on YouTube of some otters holding hands, which also made me smile.

EVERYTHING OLD IS NEW AGAIN

After my glowing review of "Meet the Robinsons" last week prior to its opening, you can be sure that I'm quite taken aback at all the negative press the film ended up getting (despite a rather healthy boxoffice take, especially in 3D).

However, I stumbled across this great commentary from animation blogger Jennifer Lerew on the nature of some of those negative reviews -- especially A.O. Scott's NY Times review that seems to criticize the SEVEN WRITERS?!?!?! that the film credits.

Umm... it's animation, folks -- there's often seven (or more) story editors. It's not like live-action screenwriting where there's only one or two writers. Anyway, I still defend the film and think it's worth your entertainment dollar.
