Had a lovely visit this past weekend from two Seattle-based pals, the always adorable and charming John (aka
bearpiper) and his handsome and dryly funny hubby Ken, who I was meeting in person for the first time.
It was a fabulous couple of days, complete with Ethiopian food,
glamorous cemeteries,
rock-n-roll musicals, and
magical worlds of fantasy. Sunday morning we headed out for brunch with
simonbear and
zombietruckstop, and then tooled around the city doing some
geocaching -- a hobby of the Seattle boys that I hadn't been exposed to before, but one which I found to be
way too much fun. Outdoor exploring and exercise, with the nerdy tech addition of web clues and GPS receivers? I'm
sooo there.
fidgetcub, I think we have a new hobby. We wrapped up their weekend visit by spending Sunday evening at
zodmicrobe's fab Oscar party, where much revelry and catharsis was had by all.
Check out pictures of our weekend's exploits (and John & Ken's handsome cuteness)
by clickin' here. John's also posted
some pix over in his blog, too. It was a really great weekend, and I look forward to seeing them both down this way again.
To all my Seattle peeps, John & Ken are relative newbies to the LJ social scene, so drop in on John's blog and say howdy -- they're both super sweet and lots of fun to hang out with.
