Other than the tedium of work here in Toronto,
fidgetcub and I have been trying to squeeze in a mini-vacation of sorts, thanks to some unexpected days off from work for him, as well as the magic of frequent flier miles.
fidgetcub went to University of Guelph just outside Toronto, so a bunch of his school pals still live in the area. We got to hang out with them at the pub, and chill over pizza at one of their cool apartments with a lovely rooftop view of the city skyline.
While I was at work one day,
fidgetcub and
nfotxn went shopping in Chinatown and picked up some super-girly phone charms, which gleefully adorn my Treo 600. We also tooled around town that night, catching a glimpse of the super-cool "floating building" at the art college downtown. And by the way, just in case you were curious,
Brodie is
the shit. No lie. Ferreal.
We also caught up with two more super-cool school chums over cocktails at the über-swanky
Drake hotel, which I could have taken a hundred more pictures of.
As it stands, you can see the pictures of Toronto I
did take (including some of the cool interior of the Drake) by

fidgetcub off at the airport for his flight home. I'm to remain in Toronto for at least another week to try and keep the momentum going on my project here.
It's very odd to be the one staying in Canada, and
he's the one going home to the U.S...
