Quite a weekend. Various other LJers will no doubt wax poetic about yet another amazing Chicago Memorial Day Weekend, but as for myself, I will wallow in my post-weekend depression enjoying some really great music (thanks [livejournal.com profile] chigarbear) and let others put it all into words. It was amazing, fun, relaxing, and tiring.

Both [livejournal.com profile] fidgetcub and I had a really great time -- as a couple. Work schedules being what they are, we don't get to enjoy our friends *together* very often, especially away from home. This was the first real vacation we'd had together in a very long time, made all the more special by the extended family that we find ourselves welcomed into, open-armed, every time we venture to the Windy City.

I loves all youse guys.

I didn't take many pictures over the weekend. I guess I was enjoying being in the moment, and didn't really care about documenting it too much -- many others did instead, I'm sure. I did, however, get some pictures during the birthday celebration on Monday afternoon.

Yes, that is a Disney Princess that [livejournal.com profile] dizzibear is licking.

(Jason & Chris blow out the candles!)

I've been rather grumbly about work lately, and this episode of Homestar Runner hits the nail on the head in so many perfect ways. :)

More pix of the weekend's debauchery can be found at my non-LJ-pal Paul's web album. Be sure not to miss "Brunch of the Living Dead."
